Dogs, cats and other animals
Pets and livestock play an important part in so many lives; each with its own particular character, life and meaning to its human caretaker. Portraying someone’s pet on canvas never fails to bring me pleasure. Be it the look in the pet’s owner’s eyes on receiving the portrait or the challenge it sets for me to capture the animal as its owner sees it.

When accepting commissions, I prefer to meet the subject in person prior to doing a portrait, where possible,. However I do accept requests for portraits where the only reference available is photographs. Like all my commissioned work, this is perfectly acceptable.
